Roobet’s protection begins at 85:01 and continues until the final whistle. That means the insured period includes almost five minutes of regulation time plus any second-half stoppage time.
The window includes almost the entire period shown as the 86th minute, rather than beginning after 86:59.
Premier League data recorded 95 stoppage-time goals, accounting for 8.5% of all goals scored during the season.
Premier League matches averaged nine minutes and 53 seconds of combined first-half and second-half added time in 2024/25.
A Late Goal Is Not Automatically an Insured Goal
Counting every goal scored from 85:01 onwards would overstate the promotion’s potential value. A qualifying goal must also change the outcome of the selected 1X2 bet and cause that selection to lose.
For example, an 88th-minute equalizer can turn a home-win selection into a loser, while a stoppage-time winner can turn a draw selection into a loser. A late consolation goal that does not alter the match result would not qualify.

Why This Is Not an Expected Guaranteed Return
The projection assumes that every late-decided match also causes the bettor’s selected outcome to lose. For a stoppage-time winner, this would generally require the bettor to have selected the draw. If the bettor backed either team, that particular goal may not satisfy the promotion’s trigger.
The calculation also uses only goals scored after 90:00. Roobet’s protection begins at 85:01, so qualifying equalizers and winners scored between 85:01 and 89:59 could create additional refunds that are not represented here.
Conversely, a Free Bet does not have the same practical value as cash. The returned stake cannot be withdrawn directly and must be used under Roobet’s Free Bet rules, including minimum odds of 1.70.

Roobet’s Late Goal Insurance provides genuine additional protection against one of football betting’s most frustrating outcomes. If a qualifying selection is overturned by a decisive goal from 85:01 onwards, receiving the stake back as a Free Bet is clearly preferable to losing it completely.
