Week 4 — Our Bets & Analysis

Testing Status
Week 4 • Completed

We’re putting 500 Casino’s Top 5 Football Leagues promotion to the test throughout the 2026/27 season. Each week, we place real bets on the featured matches, track our results and measure how much additional value the promotion provides in practice.

This is Week 4 of our test. We’ll examine the new stake-refund and set-piece reward conditions, research how realistic they are, select three qualifying bets and record the stakes and odds before the matches begin. After settlement, we’ll return to update the results, any rewards received and our running profit or loss.

Week 4 Featured Matches

500 Casino selected five fixtures for the September 19–25 game week. These are the matches available to us when deciding which qualifying bets to place for the fourth week of our test.

This week’s featured fixtures are Newcastle United vs Hull City, Stuttgart vs Borussia Dortmund, Marseille vs Paris Saint-Germain, Monza vs Sassuolo and Atletico Madrid vs Real Madrid.

Week 4 Promotion Conditions

For the September 19–25 game week, 500 Casino offered a full stake refund when a losing selection recorded fewer cards and fewer fouls than its opponent. Winning selections could also earn increased winnings by scoring from outside the penalty area.

Bet Insurance
100% Stake Back
Lose with fewer cards and fouls

If a selection lost the match but finished with fewer cards and fewer fouls than its opponent, 100% of the qualifying stake was refunded.

Both conditions had to be met: fewer cards shown and fewer fouls committed
Increased Winnings
50% Extra or Double Winnings
Win by two goals and score from distance

If a selection won by at least two goals and scored from outside the penalty area, additional winnings were credited. The size of the reward depended on how many qualifying long-range goals were scored.

50% Additional Winnings

Credited if the selection won by at least two goals and scored at least once from outside the penalty area.

Double Winnings

Credited instead if the selection won by at least two goals and scored at least twice from outside the penalty area.

Double winnings replaced the 50% increase when the higher condition was met
Our Week 4 Approach

Why We Chose to Sit This Week Out

We reviewed all five featured matches but ultimately decided not to place any qualifying bets. Newcastle against Hull was the only selection we seriously considered, and the promotion did not provide enough additional value to justify placing it at 500 Casino.

No Bets Placed

Only Newcastle Appealed

Newcastle against Hull was the only featured selection we genuinely fancied. We were not prepared to force additional bets simply to remain involved in the promotion.

Insurance Is Not Added Value

The refund provided useful protection, but only if a losing selection recorded both fewer cards and fewer fouls. Betting because we might receive our stake back is not a positive expected-value decision in our opinion.

The Winning Rewards Were Unlikely

A team had to win by at least two goals and score from outside the box to receive increased winnings. Requiring two long-range goals for double winnings made the highest reward especially difficult to target.

Bet First, Promotion Second

A promotion can add value to a bet we already want to place, but it should not persuade us to accept weaker odds or back a selection we would otherwise avoid. Passing on a game week is part of testing the promotion honestly.

Where We Would Have Placed the Bet

Newcastle was the only selection that came close to tempting us, although we did not like the bet enough to place it. Had we decided to bet on the match without pursuing 500 Casino’s promotional rewards, we would have used Duel .

This decision would have been based on the Circus.fyi Sports-Edge Ranking , which placed Duel first among the crypto sportsbooks measured, with the lowest average house edge across all sports at 2.84%.

Pricing disclaimer: The Circus.fyi figure represents Duel’s average house edge across all sports. It does not guarantee that Duel offers the best odds on every match or market. Prices can change, so bettors should always compare the available odds before placing a wager.

How Realistic Were the Week 4 Rewards?

Week 4 offered a full stake refund when a losing selection recorded fewer cards and fewer fouls than its opponent. The winnings boosts required a victory by at least two goals and one or more goals from outside the penalty area. We examined both sides of the promotion using data from the 2025/26 season.

We analyzed all 1,752 matches played across the Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga and Ligue 1 during 2025/26. Of those matches, 1,306 produced a winner and therefore had one losing team that could be tested against the refund conditions.

The losing team recorded fewer fouls and fewer cards than the winner in 257 of the 1,306 matches that produced a winner.

A Two-Goal Win Was Only the First Hurdle

Across the five leagues, 620 of the 1,752 matches ended with one team winning by at least two goals. The required winning margin therefore occurred in 35.4% of all matches during 2025/26.

The promotion also required the winning team to score from outside the penalty area. In February 2026, The Times reported that 5.06% of Premier League shots from outside the box had resulted in goals during the 2025/26 season. This was the highest conversion rate in Opta’s Premier League database.

Direct free kicks contributed to that unusually high figure. When they were removed, the conversion rate fell to 4.6%. Even during a season in which long-range shooting was unusually successful, more than 95% of attempts from outside the box were not converted.

The 50% winnings boost required the same selection to win by at least two goals and score at least once from outside the box. Double winnings required a two-goal victory and at least two long-range goals from the winning team, making the highest reward considerably more difficult to trigger.

The published long-range figures cover the Premier League only. We have not treated them as figures for the other four leagues or used them to manufacture an exact probability for either promotional reward.

What the Data Meant for Our Week 4 Decision

Our research showed that the refund condition was realistic enough to provide some protection. Across the five leagues, 19.7% of teams that lost also finished with fewer fouls and fewer cards than the winning team. However, the rate fell to 14.5% in the Premier League, where Newcastle against Hull was the only featured selection we seriously considered.

The protection was not enough to make us place the bet. Newcastle still needed to lose before the refund became relevant, and both disciplinary conditions then had to be satisfied. In our opinion, the possibility of receiving our stake back did not compensate for accepting a bet or price we were not completely comfortable with.

The increased-winnings rewards were even less persuasive. A selection had to win by at least two goals and score from outside the penalty area, while double winnings required two long-range goals. Those outcomes were possible, but too difficult to target reliably when deciding whether the original bet offered value.

Sometimes the best bet is the one you do not place. We placed no qualifying bets during Week 4 and are happy to carry our +74.90 USDT running promotion profit into next week.

CSL methodology: We analyzed the completed 2025/26 Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga and Ligue 1 seasons using match-level results, fouls and card data published by Football-Data.co.uk. Drawn matches were excluded from the refund calculation because neither team lost.

A losing team qualified in our analysis only when it recorded strictly fewer fouls and strictly fewer total cards than the winning team. Yellow and red cards were counted as recorded in the source files. The five leagues contained 1,752 matches, of which 1,306 produced a winner. We found that 257 losing teams met both conditions.

Football-Data notes that English yellow-card figures do not include the first yellow when a second yellow becomes a red, while European match records may count the yellow and red separately. Our result should therefore be treated as a close historical estimate rather than the exact settlement rate 500 Casino would have applied.

The 5.06% and 4.6% long-range conversion figures were reported by The Times on February 11, 2026 using Opta Premier League data. They represent a 2025/26 season snapshot at that date and do not cover the Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga or Ligue 1.

Running Profit
+74.90 USDT

We reviewed all five featured matches and reward conditions for Week 4 but decided not to place a qualifying bet. Newcastle against Hull was the only selection we seriously considered, and neither the available price nor the possibility of triggering the additional rewards was strong enough to justify placing it.

As no money was staked during Week 4, our totals remain unchanged. Across the first three weeks, seven of our nine real-money bets won, producing 128.10 USDT in standard returns. The promotion added a further 36.80 USDT in rewards, leaving us with a running profit of 74.90 USDT.

About Our Test Results

Our betting results should not be viewed as a reflection of the results every player will achieve through 500 Casino’s Season Long Top 5 Football Leagues Promotion. Different selections, odds and match outcomes will naturally produce different results.

The purpose of this test is to follow the promotion over an extended period and measure the additional value its rewards provide alongside our own betting results. By tracking any free bets, doubled winnings and other rewards we receive throughout the season, we can see how much difference the promotion makes over time.

Our results reflect our own bets and experience only. The aim is to show how the promotion works in practice and highlight the value its rewards can add, rather than suggest that other players should expect the same returns.
